So, we went to Disney World with the boy's!!!! They had a GREAT time, ALL three of them... I honestly think John had more fun than the boy's. He totally acheived his goal of riding EVERY ride at Disney World (all four parks). And despite the fact that I got sick on Thursday, I rode on pretty much every ride they rode on as well. It was REALLY crowded, but I was impressed by the crowds. They all seemed to understand that they were going to have to wait if they wanted to ride on something.
Of course, John had the wonderful idea that we should go back to Hollywood Studio's after checking out of the hotel (btw - did I mention we stayed ON Disney property), what a fabulous vacation that part was!!!! Anyway, we went back to H.S. on Saturday morning, which meant that we did not start for home until around 6 p.m. on Saturday morning. THANK GOD, we made it back safely, pulling in our driveway at around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night.
All in all, it was a fabulous vacation, no cooking or cleaning for Mommy!!!!!!!!!!!!! The BEST kind of vacation if you ask me!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just my boy's and me!!!!!!
We dropped John at the airport REALLY early Thursday morning, he's in Vancouver at a conference until Monday morning. I'm totally reminded of WHY I never wanna be a single mom, whenever he leaves like this. I'm in charge of homework, bathtime, mealtime, bedtime, pretty much EVERYTHING until he gets back on Monday night. Didn't help, that I was still tired from our impromtu trip to Michigan when he left, that's for sure...
My boy's have actually been really good so far. They have listened and gone to bed on time for the last two nights. Tonight we are planning on meeting some friends at a movie theater and then going to McDonalds for dinner. I'm sure they will have a great time. Last night, we went to a fundraiser for a friend who is running for the local school board, and then a Dr. Suess event at a local elementary school, followed by Burger King for dinner, followed by some serious ass fusing by myself when we FINALLY got home at around 8 p.m..
The WORST part of having a spouse who travels - getting back into the routine when they get back. No more Burger King, or McDonalds for dinner every night, I just have a feeling he's going to expect me to start cooking every night again...
Oh well, after this trip, he's home for four days and we leave for our vacation in Orlando, Florida - more from the mouse's house later...

Things I learned over the past weekend...
1. My parents are going to be fine and even if they are not, it's ok... My kids have a real relationship with them, and that makes me SO happy. I didn't ever really have a realationship with ANY of my grandparents and that makes me very sad. We lived far away from them and saw them on average once every four or five years.
2. My younger son's "wenis" his word not mine, is not quite big enough to allow him to pee in a cup in the back seat of the car yet... Poor thing... I REALLY hope it grows at some point...
3. My older son REALLY does not like to wear socks. EVER!!!! It was so frustrating to have to remind him EVERY time I needed to pee, to put your shoes and socks back on...
4. I am physically and emotionally exhasuted, after this trip, but I am SO happy that the boy's and I went...

my mom and dad...
Are getting old... It makes me SO sad, to know that they will not be on this earth forEVER... It makes me happy to know that they will live on in my boy's and in my heart.
My mom fell off a chair a couple of years ago, and did some damage to her shoulder, she had surgery about six weeks ago, and they fixed her up. The next thing I know, she calls and tells me she's fallen getting up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Her leg and her hip are REALLY sore and she can't figure out what she's done. So back to the orthopiedic guy she goes. He tells her she has a sizeable crack in her hip bone, in for yet another surgery this Friday. My boy's are off school on Friday and next Monday, so we are driving to Michigan (Thank God, my husband FINALLY bought me a brand new car). John will stay here and take care of the dog, it's about an 8 to 10 hour drive to Michigan from St. Louis. I'm not really looking forward to the drive, but my kids LOVE riding in the car - so at least it won't be a total nightmare. The part I'm really not looking forward too, is seeing my mom in pain. She's always been a VERY strong lady. I'm SO very lucky to still have my parents in my life and the life of my children. I'm happy that we are ONLY 8 hours away, it was MUCH worse when we lived in Florida for three years. I've no idea how I even survived that, except for the fact that they visited us at least twice (a couple of times up to four times) a year. I truly LOVE my parents, even if I haven't always showed them - I was a typically stupid teenager. If it were not for my parents, I know John and I would be screwed right now. I'll go into that in detail in another post... Right now, I've got to unfuse my ass and get in my car and go get my boy's from the school bus.

Well, I watched the Grammy's...
...and here are my thoughts.
I am actually REALLY happy that God gave me boy children. I honestly don't think I could take a Justin Beiber concert. I went to a New Kid's on the Block concert ONCE a LOOOOOOONG time ago - trust me, I wouldn't have gone to that concert if my friend's tweenage daughter hadn't insisted they were the best thing since sliced bread. And her mom paid for my ticket so I could keep her company. Really, just cause you can dance and maybe sing a couple of notes, does not mean you should do it live in front of people...
Also, I have trouble listening to a 12 year old, sing about lost love... Same reason I can NOT stand Taylor Swift. Oh and the fact that she REALLY can NOT sing worth crap does not help.
Has anyone over the age of twenty-five ever even heard of the Album of the Year award winner??? Arcade Fire, seriously, they MIGHT have a lot of talent, IF they turned down the strobe lights and ACTUALLY sang something. My husband commented that they might sound good at a party, IF you were drunk AND stoned. This from a man who's only been drunk maybe twice in his entire life, and has NEVER been stoned...
I really do NOT like Kayne West's diamond teeth, they are kind of creepy looking...
Lady Gaga, seriously - pointy shoulders, that's all I have to say about her...
I LOVED Miranda Lambert, Lady Antibellum and Train - still kinda miss Garth Brooks at these events. What can I say - I'm a little bit country...
BUT, I also LOVED Muse, because I'm a LOT Twilight and a tiny bit rock and roll, I guess.
Sooooo, those are my thoughts on this years Grammies. Hope you all enjoyed the show as much and as little as I did...

Half. an. HOUR!!!!!!
Michael just came in the room and asked me - CAN WE GO??? Seriously, I can NOT wait till they can both tell time.
OMG - what am I doing???
I've never blogged anything before, but since we live VERY far away from all of our family, I thought I'd give it a try. I am a Stay-At-Home-Mom to two VERY sweet little boy's. I also have a husband, who is kinda like my third little boy. Just kidding, he works VERY hard to support our little family. And for that I am VERY grateful. He is a scientist, and I really do not understand ANYTHING he says about his work. I've learned over the last twenty or so years, that when he starts talking about it, I just nod and smile, and pretend like I know exactly what he is talking about. Hey it works for us!!!!! You do whatca ya gotta do...
